Based on the equation used to calculate wave speed, the value obtained was 5.09*10^6 mm/s. The time period that used was 10 and the displacement value as displacement control was 90 mm. The Smallest stable time increment: 1.59e-006 (This value was obtained from ABAQUS by using Verify mesh tool). It's for Quasi-Static Analysis with Abaqus/Explicit.
1. Verify wave speed by exact formula cP=sqrt((lambda + mu)/ro) or the approximate one sqrt(E/ro) where lambda and mu are Lame constants, ro is material density, and E is Young's modulus.
2. If deformation speed epsilon/delta_t (where epsilon is maximal element deformation and delta_t is time increment) is higher than cP, you have several ways:
either (i) increase E, or (ii) decrease ro, or (iii) enlarge element size (in such a case time increment defined by Courant number will also increases), or (iv) decrease load value, that in most cases will decrease epsilon.
And never apply smaller mesh size and smaller delta_t !

you might change the automatic solution to fixed one in the step module. hopefully you obtain the target.
You can use mass scaling to increase your time increment to a specified target. Just ensure that the kinetic effects do not dominate your deformation, i.e. look into the energies in your simulation - the kinetic energy should be extremely low and the deformation must be dominated by the internal energy storage.
