I need to download any gene set to analyze them in DAVID and PANTHER as part of a course. Most of the database are not giving tab delimited text files to put into DAVID or PANTHER.
@Arjit Ghosh.... Neither DAVID nor PANTHER requires input as tab delimited text files. You can use STRING [ http://string-db.org/ ] to get the list of genes or proteins
Look into NCBI GEO. You will get lots of transcriptomics data from NGS sequencing and micro-array. All these data is in the tab delimited text file format. You can download these data, if it is public. Many people upload the transcriptomics data in GEO and keep it private till the relevant manuscript get published. For example; I have 92 microarray files in GEO database, but only 20 is public.
Yeah. I tried everything, somehow most probably the datasets I was downloading were not in the formal I wanted, I got it fixed though. Thanks a lot everyone.
