As an initial step of fabrication of SOLAR CELL, I am constructing dark diodes. I need to find IDEALITY FACTOR and REVERSE CURRENT SATURATION. Kindly help me to find these, from semi-log plot of current density (J) - voltage (V) characteristics. Also, I humbly request you to kindly guide me to do the Shunt Correction.

I met this problem many years ago and I found effective methods to solve it.

You can the following steps to find the Rsh, Is and n of the solar cell diode:
Make a linear plot of the dark.
At low voltage bias you see the effect of the shunt resistance.
Hence from the slope of the I-V curve at the low bias voltage determine the shunt resistance.
To exclude Rsh effect subtract Ish= V/Rsh from the diode current at every selected values of the diode current
Then after subtracting you have effectively the diode I-V curve
Plot this curve as shown in the above paper in a semilog plot.
From its slope determine the ideality factor as given by the paper.
Normally the medium bias range is that range which is suitable to get n where I-V curve is far from the effect of Rsh and Rs.
By extrapolating the straight line portion of the semilog plot to the zero bias voltage you can get Is which is the intercept point current.
There is also numerical curve fitting methods which can give you an estimate of Rsh,Is and n as hinted above.
But the method above is very transparent.
