Hello, I am interested in Karyotyping (just chromosome number) of mouse embryos-blastocysts. I think it wont be too different from human embryos Karyotyping. Could anyone please share their protocol for the same?

Hi B, Sanaei, thanks for your protocol. I wanted to know if you could comment upon which stage of embryonic development is best for karyotyping? Also, how exactly do you fix the embryos on slide, and for how long? the fixative dries up within a few seconds and the embryo doesn't stay mounted onto the slide. Also, do you drop the embryo onto the slide to break it? Could you please explain your protocol a bit more, I'm having technical issues in handling the embryo. Many thanks.
