I am doing thermal analysis of GaN HEMT. I fixed thermocontact at the bottom substrate of GaN HEMT. I am able to simulate at 300K of thermocontact statement in ATLAS. But I am unable to simulate at 800 K.
THERMOCONTACT STATEMENT:
(thermcontact num=1 y.min=0.9 y.max=0.9 ext.temp=300 alpha=1500) .
1)Dear friend please give some info for high temperature (800 kelvin) simulation of GaN HEMT.
2)For high temperature (800 kelvin) simulation, What value I have to give for the alpha in above thermcontact statement?
sir, I cannot answer your question but I am looking for some more information on thermcontact statement. if the substrate has y dimensions from y1 to y2, what should be the dimensions specified in thermcontact statement? if you can please help me with this query, I will be grateful.

You can keep the contact at the bottom or top or anywhere in structure using x.min, x.max, y.min and y.max. if you want to put at the bottom, just mention y.min = y2 and y.max=y2 i.e. same value which is at the bottom.
