I need your opinion on conducting a case-control study using cross-sectional data. When assessing the quality of life of COPD patients with the SGRQ, there will be three groups of patients: those with good, moderate, and poor quality of life. We can divide this based on the 25th percentiles. To assess the factors associated with good quality of life, we can conduct a case-control study by comparing patients with good quality of life to those with poor QoL. How can we justify this method?
