Hi everyone. I am writing the manuscript of my thesis, and I would like to make a list of references by chapter. I mean that every first reference of each chapter begins for [1] using the IEEE style. I am already finished my first chapter, and I have been using Mendeley. If someone can tell me how to do this, I would appreciate it too much. Greetings from Colombia

Your question got me thinking. I think what you should do in the first instance is to write the chapters as separate documents and do their referencing separately as you would do with a research article. Then you can combine the chapters later including the separate references. Otherwise, I am not sure if Mendeley has a feature that will allow you to separate the chapter references. That would require creating multiple bibliographies for a single document, which I do not think Mendeley has such a feature.

Hi David,
Mendeley has quite an active advisors group you could paste this question to them through your Menedeley Web account. If I understand you Mendeley will only generate one bibliography per document and not generate bibliographies within documents. You could copy each chapter into a separate document in Word, gerenarte a bibliography and copy that back into your master document? BW Matt
Select the References tab and locate the Mendeley Cite-O-Matic options. Click the Insert Citation button and search for references by author, title, or year from your library. References can also be added from groups. After a reference has been selected, click OK
