Ya is right. PEG will go into THF, but the solubility is poor at RT. When I do PEG reactions in THF, I usually perform them under reflux.

I did it by heating it at 50C and using magnetic stirrer for 30 minutes. It dissolves nicely and looks homogeneous but after 24 hours or so, it becomes cloudy again.
