I want to develop solar battery which is the combination of solar cell and battery itself. I mean to make a single module with Graphene material and enhance the efficiency of cell and storage energy. Can anyone suggest which is best simulation software for the same. How DFT and Schrodinger equation are helpful in this matter.
This is an interesting question. The issue is not the technology - it is the practicability. Dye sensitised solar cells will store electrical energy using the integrated supercapacitor structure of the nanoncrystalline metallic oxide, although the storage voltage (and hence energy) per cell is very low (~ 0.4V). The issue is how practicable is a battery that needs a large area to charge up? The integrated current flux out of the battery during discharge must be less than the integrated photon flux into the battery during charge time due to losses. So to store a reasonable amount of energy you will need a large battery like a solar panel internally connected to a storage system that can store ampere hours of charge per square cm of area.
Suppose your solar cell generates 40 mA per sq cm of area. Now it's going to do this for say 6 hours per day - that's nearly 1000 AH. For each sq cm of battery. Interesting problem . . . This is to ensure your battery will outperform a solar panel and an external battery, and while I'm sure that's not theoretically impossible, I'm also sure it isn't going to be easy!

In my enthusiasm to answer I got my unit wrong - it's not amp-hours it's coulombs (seconds * amps). But it's still a lot for 1 cm2 of area. You will probably need a multilayer structure.

Thanks for your answer but I am also interested to develop such a module that store complete energy which produce in a day. This is also a matter of state of charge. However it is difficult task but I have started working with literature survey.
