Hi! I am doing an experiment where I inhibit a specific protein with a drug and then measuring cell viability. This drug has been used in literature in similar studies. However, I am not sure how to determine the correct drug concentration for my experiment.

Could I just use what the literature is using? Or should I do some sort of assay/additional experiment to determine the concentration in which the protein is inhibited? If I am doing the second option, does that mean I would also need to do western to confirm the inhibition?

Thanks!
