How to design fixed UMI(unique molecular identifier) for library preparation on NGS platform?

Fixed UMI compared with random UMI is becoming more commonly used in library preparation, just like IDT Prism kit and KAPA Universal UMI Adapter.

I just want to konw the designing principle. Can someone friendly answer this question?
