All the satellite altimeter data are accompanied by the tidal level that corresponds to each individual measurement. This information is mandatory to exploit the range measurements made by the altimeter. But these tide levels are not directly measured by the satellite. They come from tide atlas that have been computed from 10 years or 20 years of satellite altimeters in conjunction with ocean models. There exists about 10 different tide atlas among which: FES14, GOT4.10, TPX09, DTU10, etc...

Another way you can proceed tidal heights and tidal components is Global Navigation Satellite Reflectometry (GNSS-R) technique. This approach benefits from GNSS (or GPS) signals reflected from your desired surface, i.e., water surface here. So, in case you have access to historical data of any GPS station close to the shore line, you can obtain sea level variations and tidal heights through reflectometry technique.
