I have not used Deform 3D personally but i am proficient user of Abaqus where i have written material models during my Ph.D. You need to implement constitutive equations if you have any to model the material behaviour. This is generally written in fortran or C and should be linked with deform during the simulations. This is a rigorous exercise and it will take lot of time to write as you will be forming constitutive equations for your custom material. Kindly look @ manuals.

First: trough the tensile test you can  get the flow stress curve of the material.

Second: from the tutorial you need to enter the effective stress which is a function in time, strain and strain rate you can make the table which must upload to the material library in the program and you name it with your material named.

finally when you built up your problem in post processor you can load this material you as workpiece material.

You can define new material in DEFORM-3D in "material" with an icon of grain structure. I also attached an image indication that icon with red circle. You can define "regular" or "mixed" material with different plastic model and etc..

From stress-strain graph, using the data, the flow stress model is developed by entering the stress strain curve values. By using this, the new model is developed in DEFORM 3D

Dear Senthilkumar,

To simulate the turning process, a constitutive model that can extensively describe the material behavior at different strain rate and temperature is required. there are many models available in the library of Deform software. However, if you couldn't fine a model for your custom material in the software library or in the literature, then you need to develop a new one!

As mentioned by Dr. Abd El Aal, you need to implement a series of tensile tests considering the change in strain rate and temperature and provide these data to the software. I hope that was helpful.

In Defrom 3D model, how you will get parameters of D, "Beta"Tb", "E", "K". How to find these parameters, If u know please share the details.
