I have a problem with autofluorescence of diamond prepared by chemical vapor deposition (CVD) method. Would you please let me know how I can decrease the autofluorescence of diamond prepared by CVD method?
As I understand it, you are experimenting with physical objects, so use physical terms (not biological). Autofluorescence - a misnomer. Do not use Wikipedia, use primary sources.
As I understand it, you need to reduce the intensity of the luminescence of the film during the registration of the defect luminescence.
When registering SiV defect in CVD film, we proceed as follows:
1. Make sure that the film is well cleared. It is desirable to wash it in HCl acid, then with distilled water.
2. Do not register the spectrum of the sample surface, register for 5 - 10 microns below the surface (inside of the samples).
3. Correctly select the laser excitation. Figure – spectra of the same sample with excitation lasers with wavelength: 405, 470 and 640 nm.
