First of all, you need to establish the size of the reference populations.
Sample sizing comes later.
My view is that sample size planning for confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling is best done through Monte Carlo simulations. Simulations allow you to not only examine statistical power but also potential bias in fit statistics, parameter estimates, and standard errors. See:
