I am very sensitive to copyright laws and trying to comply with it. Does anyone know how to deal with the full text requests on papers from publishers that are subjected to copyright? Example I have several full text requests for papers that were published in Elsevier.
Yea, you should respect copyright and this website is extremely naughty to keep pushing people to upload copyrighted material. It takes no responsibility for you breaking copyright law! Disgraceful.
Check with publishers to see what they all. If they don't allow you to upload don't do it! I have several items I mustn't upload. In each abstract I guide people to ways of getting hold of copies: libraries, publishers websites etc.
I resent RG for now distinguishing between "reads" and "full reads". Clearly, if there's no uploaded copy, no one is reading the full item on this website. But if they're decent researchers they will find one somewhere.

I agree with you. Papers that are protected under copyright I tried to keep as private full-texts. However, researchers keep sending messages for full-texts. I feel bad not sending but at the same time I have to respect the copyright issues. Any way as you mentioned they can find the paper elsewhere in a library data base or other. Thanks!
Well, two of my copyright holders don't even allow private copies to be uploaded onto this website!
Maybe you might take a look at how I handle it in my abstract on my "research" page. I still get the odd request for copies, but very few.
