There is another way of doing this if you are going to be inserted in. I suggest that instead of having only one part in your model and dealing with defining two different types of elements to it, you can create two parts and a contact in between (like bonded contact). This way you can assign two different material to them.

You can either create the materials in workbench and then assign them to the parts or assign the material properties via command snippet in "Mechanical".

Only way to do what you need is using two separated parts. If you are using workpench.

If you are familiar with ICEM you can mesh part one with material one then mesh two separately after that you can merrage them or in Fluent read mesh for two parts.

Fundamentally, suppose you have two different materials (body) if you are working with workpench there is a way or if you are working with Icem also is slightly different.

Any way in drawing draw part one with body one then draw body two from part that you generated do not make part from those two just left them as separated parts. In mesh model you will have two parts keep them. Once you send mesh file to fluent you will see two parts. In this case you can assign different materials. As a fluid or solid.

Thank youn, your answer is insistent. But the geometry of models is complex. I could not apply this method; so I think the solution is to create the ELemMATAssign botton (ACT extension) using ansysworkbench
