I need to digitise my XRD graph that is in pnj form, to extract data points of peaks but there is a large number of peaks so I want them to be selected automatically rather than selecting the hundreds of points.
Steven Van Petegem this program also need manual point selection which I am avoiding because there is a huge number of peaks in my graph. Please suggest any auto point selection.
Maria, perhaps you did not realize from Steven's answer that once you digitize the pattern using the program in his link, you feed the data to any XRD analysis program. In the XRD analysis program of your choice, peak identification is automated, so you just review the results of the peak finding algorithm's results.
Which XRD analysis program to use is another question, which has been previously addressed. Most people use whatever is supplied by their instrument manufacturer. GSAS is also free and well-respected. There are other very good choices, too. My company (Proto Manufacturing, see www.protoxrd.com) makes our analysis program freely available.
