Equivalent Surface Area Dosage Conversion Factors
This table gives approximate factors for converting doses expressed in terms of mg/kg from one species to an equivalent surface area dose expressed as mg/kg in the other species tabulated. The assumptions and constants of the paper by Freireich EJ, et al, 1966 are used.
I recommend to calculate the dose in animals (mice and rats) using the human dose. Rat's dose can be calculated according to Clarc' s formula. I suppose that similar formula exists for the calculation of dose in mice.
i recommended Paget ane Bernes table for easy dose conversion. Rat's dose can simply calculated according to its body weight. by multiplication with given standard value in table.
