I am working on Raman Spectroscopy with a Reninshaw machine, I need to plot the data and I do not have the software on my work computer. How do I transfer from wxd to a managable file format?
We are always here to help. If you send us a message here http://www.renishaw.com/en/raman-applications-support-form--25946
Someone will pick it up and tell you the steps required. We also run our Raman Revealed training courses here in the UK which run through data processing and operation of the equipment and software. These are very popular with the people who attend who all learn something new to get the best of their machine. The next one is on October see http://www.renishaw.com/en/raman-revealed-training-workshops--18261
If you have not received an answer, probably these may help.
1. You can use "Wire Batch converter" extension for Wire software from Renishaw. But I am not sure if that works with the older versions of the software like Wire 2.0(which saves files as .wxd format). unfortunately one needs to buy that extension through Renishaw, but in my experience, it is really helpful for exporting large volumes of data in a second as .txt format
2. Another simple option is to save the file as .txt format when you save the spectrum (use 'Save As' or 'Save data as' option in the File drop down menu). But again, I am not sure whether it works with your Wire software version. This option is available in Wire 4.0.
