In order to achieve an accurate stress-strain curve for concrete from the "tensile test", you should perform a direct tensile test, not split tensile.

As you know, for obtaining such a curve, some sensors should be attached to the specimen while conducting the direct tensile test.

It is worth mentioning that there are some formulas that can be used to convert the split tensile tests' results to direct tensile tests. However, they are not accurate, and they are just applicable for the ultimate strength point.

Splitting in concrete pullout bond strength test only determines the concrete ability to hold back the ribs. Do direct tensile strength as suggested as to determine the yield and ultimate strength
