I need help with conversion of amino acid residue to grams.
For example, in paper they have given amino acid residue/1000 amino acid. For Alanine 96 acid residue/1000 amino acid(cod skin). Whereas from an industry sample they have give it in grams. Alanine 8.09 g/ 97.76 g protein. How to convert residue count to grams? Any help will be highly appreciated.

Ala has Mw=89.09 g/mol (Da), so in 8.09 g there should be 0.0908 moles of Ala. If I understood correctly, there is 96 Ala per 1 protein (total 1000 amino acids long), so there should be 0.0009458333 moles of protein, and weight of these moles is 97.76 g. That means that protein has Mw 103,358.594 g/mol (Da, or 103.4 kDa). 1 mol has 6.023x10to23 molecules.
