I think looking at best practices between contexts/countries or regions that have experienced similar climate change will be of value. I think a ‘proactive approach’ must be taken whereby rather act early before the actual ‘change’ occurs. Sometimes even a small change can spell catastrophic consequences. Maybe knowledge exchange platforms with other regions and areas will be beneficial in this regard. I cannot recommend any articles per se as I am not into Agriculture, but in terms of theories, I could recommend you examine the organisation learning theory (Agyris and Schon) whereby it involves, ‘scanning’ the environment, ‘interpreting’ what you find, and in turn ‘learning’ from it (application).
