I want to compare climate record of two different geographical regions in a specific time window (cca 8-6 ka BP). I guess that use of a suitable paleoclimate proxy based model, which work in spatial grid could be a solution. Any suggestion?
Depends. Are these different regions in the same climatic zone? Then the proxies would depend on your archive (mag sus, pollen , grain size, etc.) and might be correlatable. But of course, preferably you should use the same proxies in both regions if thats possible with the archives. If however, these regions are in different climate or vegetation zones or if the archives differ a lot, then the range of your proxy might be exceeded. In any case, I would recommend a robust independent dating framework. The benefit of this would be, that you might be able to chose the most suitable proxy for each site/archive/region and correlate it based on the ages. Please be more specific about the regions and available proxies and I might be able to be of some help.
