I have two anode materials, Pristine and carbon-coated. Pristine theoretical capacity 1500 mA h/g and Carbon coated was calculated as material ratio 50:50 as 1500*0.5 + 375*0.5 = 930 mA h/g.
Electrodes were tested at 0.1C. Pristine 0.1C=150mA h/g and Carbon-coated 0.1C=93 mA h/g
How can I normalize and compare them?

In my point of view, the theoretical capacity of Carbon-coated electrode material could be calculated by the following profile. We could obtain the capacity of pristine and carbon coated, respectively, and then consider the whole mass. Just my humble opinion. Hope it will be helpful for you.

To my opinion, C-rate is an industrial parameter to compare rather identical systems with very close parameters. When you have different material and test them at very different current - it is natural that the result are different, because Li ion diffusion in solid affects them.
To calculate realistic specific capacity values for these materials one need to measure films of identical thickness at the same specific current.
To calculate effect of coating on capacity of the AM it's better to measure the carbon material separately at each current rate because carbon additives/coatings have very different specific capacities in Li+ anodes, ranging from ~150 to 1200 mAh/g in the 0.01-3.0 V range.

Ren Yihui Thank you for your answer. You have explained how to calculate the theoretical capacity of composite. However, my question is about the comparison of exhibited capacity because pristine (1500) and carbon-coated (930) samples have different theoretical capacities.
