For the metallography of the base SDSS and the LCS substrate, all the samples were ground up to 2000 grit size SiC abrasive paper, and cloth polishing up to 0.05 μm sized alumina particle water suspension, and lastly, the specimen was degreased by ultrasonic cleaning in an isopropanol bath for 5 minutes. To reveal the microstructure, the base SDSS was electrochemically etched with a 50% KOH solution at 5 V for 10 seconds, and the LCS was chemically etched with 2 vol.% nital solution.
