Recently, I made a 20% glycerol solution, added red ink to it, and placed a drop at my microfluidic chip's inlet. But it needs to move forward, and it is not moving forward. What's the reason behind this? It's the deposition of ink or dust particles at the chip's channel. Can you recommend any cleaning process?
The hydrophobicity/hydrophilicity of your microfluidic chip might be a problem here. What is the material? Is it PDMS or a 3D-printed chip (resin)?
After bonding the chip with a substrate with plasma bonding, maybe you could fill it with water, to make sure no dust can enter and keep it hydrophilic. The other way to solve your problem is to use scotch tape and then Ethanol/IPA cleaning.
If you tried right after plasma bonding, and it still doesn't move forward, I suspect your channel (or your mold) has some problem. I think there is a physical problem here.
If I could see the mold or chip, I'd tell better. Did you look at your mold under a microscope? I'd suggest looking at your channels and seeing if you have any segregation or block within the channel.
