In the MATLAB simulink, I have used the Wind turbine model. Herewith I have enclosed the wind turbine model parameters. I would like to know the rated power of the wind turbine. The Cpmax= 0.48 and optimum tip speed ratio is 8.1. Kindly help me know how to calculate the rated power of the wind turbine.
The theoretically available power in the wind can be expressed as
P = 1/2 ρ A v3 (1)
where
P = power (W)
ρ = density of air (kg/m3)
A = area wind passing through perpendicular to the wind (m2)
v = wind velocity (m/s)
Be aware that the density of air decreases with temperature and altitude and that the major factor in power generation is wind velocity.

Theoretical and rated wind power generation for typical windmills are indicated in the "wind speed-power curve" below. Cut-in wind speed, rated wind speed, shut-down wind speed and rated power for windmills with 20% and 40% efficiency are indicated.

ξ = efficiency of the windmill (in general less than 0.4, or 40%)
A turbines "Rated" power is its peak power, or generally speaking the "plateau". The theoretical cubic power function seems not to fit real power curves as well, .. but it provides a benchmark. From what you posted, I do not understand the plot on the left. It seems to show the peak power, but what are the many curves for?

It is important to compare apples to apples on turbine ratings. AWEA and BWEA standards rate units at 11 m/s. However, actual rated power can be higher depending on cut out speed. See Small Wind Certification Council ratings on small wind units at
