Hello everyone,
In one of our studies we need to investigate the dielectric constant of material for cables. The NAYY cables have 4 different parts in frequency from 1MHz to 40MHz. The first one is the metal conductor and there are three other parts which are insulation, filler and sheath. For this study we need to know the dielectric constant of these tree parts which are some different PVC materials.
We have measured the dielectric constants of the whole cable using a propagation analysis method, but this method is not accurate for short lengths and we could not get proper results for these materials.
I would be grateful if anyone has an idea or knows of a tool we can use.
