I am preparing the FITC-labelled Dextran. I will need to determine the degree of FITC substitution in the FITC-labelled dextran. However, I have just found the method for FITC-labelled protein at (http://www.sigmaaldrich.com/content/dam/sigma-aldrich/docs/Sigma/Product_Information_Sheet/f7250pis.pdf), where they determined by UV-Vis spectrophotometer at 280 nm and 495 nm. For FITC-labelled dextran, the method might be different in UV wavelength and correction factor. I would like to ask for any suggestion to determine the degree of FITC substitution to dextran?
