Hi all,

I am currently working on some background calculations before I start a new project related to metal matrix particulate composites. I am trying to find a way to calculate the stress at the cross section of a given equiaxed, particle assumed to be spherical within the matrix based on a load applied to the entire composite. The applied loads will be quite low, so I have been thus far assuming isostrain conditions. Are there any relevant models or mathematical concepts I can use, or other assumptions to simplify things? What are the major factors that I should be considering?
