Can anyone tell me ,how to calculate the spatial resolution of an IR thermal camera?Also, the relationship between the geometry of an object and the spatial resolution. Inaddition, I would like to know if anyone has got spec details of an IR thermal camera (GOBI 1513 Xenics IR solutions). I could not find this in Xenics web. Answers would be much appreciated.
It strongly depends on several factors such as the lens, the distance between the object and the camera, etc. Can you give some additional informations?
The calculation is quite difficult, as it depends on several factors - as already said be Vincent, I recommend to make independent measurements with spüecialised structurs. Such measurements are e.g. Minimum detectable temperature difference (MDTD) or/and or minimum resolvable temperature difference measurements (MRTD).

You should know at least the pixel pitch (P) of the detector array, and the focal length of the camera lens (F). The angular resolution (R) will be: R=arctan(P/F). The corresponding spatial resolution (S), at a given distance (D), will be given by: S=D*tan(R)=D*P/F.
Concerning the specifications of the Xenics thermal camera: did you tried this link?

The best answer to this question may be that you should look in the manual or talk to the representative of the machine you are using.
In my case I use a FLIR B20 and in the manual there are tables for the values of VFOV, HFOV and IFOV, these values depend on the distance we are from the object to be observed, but to choose from the various tables we must first know What are the first 3 digits of the serial number of the machine and the type of lens it has.
