I would like to ask about the sample size and power analysis calculations. I have 6 conditions for my survey. Additionally, 9 questions/choice tasks with 2 options (+1 status quo option) in each. I will be analyzing them by using Mixed Logit Model after I complete the experiment. So, I have been searching about formulas etc. but it seems like there is not a formula specifically for Discrete Choice Experiments will be analyzed with MXL. What do you suggest me? Are there any alternative ways about this?

For the sample size part of your question, you can always perform a simulation to find the correct sample size since I don't believe a simple formula exists for your case. A simple internet search will reveal many online sources that you can select among them to suit your needs.

I am aware of the suggestions of using simulations for calculating sample sizes for choice experiments. However, I am not familiar with simulations. I have found power analysis methods used for different analysis methods for choice experiments (e.g. power calculation for logistic regression in Gpower 3). I was looking for a method to calculate power with mixed logit model results (or directly calculate sample size with estimated effect size and power). Are you aware of such a calculation, or a calculation similar to this?
As I have told, I don't think that there exists a simple sample size formula for a mixed logit model. So simulation seems to be the only way.
