I have genotypes of 5 obesity-related variants of genes, present on different chromosomes. I want to check the association of combined effect of all variants on obesity. Therefore, in this regard suggest me how to calculate genetic risk score in spss. I need step wise guidance. I have skills to work only with spss.

Ajit kumar Roy Thank you for your suggestions. Dear sir I have few confusions, can you please answer me following questions:
1. Is it fine to detect association of continuous data of GRS with different variables using Logistic/Linear Regression?
2. If I want to detect the association of obesity (categorical) with GRS using Logistic Regression then how to convert continuous data of GRS (weighted and Unweighted) into categorical (low, medium and high) risk?
3. Is there any rationale in conversion of continuous data into tertiles, on what basis/principle some values are grouped as low, others as medium or high?
4. How to make tertiles of continuous data using SPSS (what are the steps of this procedure)?
