Can anyone tell me how to calculate the dispersion parameter using second order taylor's series expansion of maxwell equation i.e. Beta 2 = 2/c(dneff/dw) + w/c(d^2neff/dw^2) (ps/THz/cm)? (w = angular frequency)
I would also like to calculate bending loss using neq(x,y) = n(1+x/R). How can I get the value of x and R? Thanks.
If you are only doing a numerical analysis, then assume for a specific PCF. Again, when you are designing PCF experimentally, then depending on your micro or macro bending, you can input the parameters. Similar is the case with dispersion loss. You can have a check on the following links.
