By knowing standard absorption and sample absorption from AAs, u can calculate % of adsorption. How much volume r u taken for adsorption study?? is it 50 mL?? then u can calculate % =((Std-sample)/std)*100, from %, the value of Qeq = (%/200)*initial concentration. Ceq=Initial concentration -(2*Qeq). then calculating ceq and Qeq for all the concentration of same metal ion, then apply linear form Langumuir isotherm equation and plot graph, from graph u can determine the value of regression constant.
If you are using a spectrophotometric technique either UV-VIS or AAS, make a calibration curve (absorbance against concentration) in the concentration range to be used for the study. After filtration measure the absorbance of the filtrate and then directly read off the concentration on the calibration curve. I should be lower than the initial concentration whose absorbance you already know.
If you were following adsorption gravimetrically then obtain the number of moles in the solution introduced and take off the amount adsorbed from the mass given by your microbalance to give the number of moles remaining in the equilibrium solution. Divide this number of moles by the volume off the equilibrium solution in LITRES please.
