I am working on one project in MSC PATRAN 2010 in which i am required to apply a load which vary with time. I found one method from youtube tutorial,
1) create a time dependent non spatial tabular field. (lets say table input is : time = 0:1:10 and value is [0,0,0,2,2,2.5,4,4,8,8,10]
2) create /modify load case as time dependent.
3) In load & boundary conditions apply load at desired location / direction. (let's say 10N in -Z direction considering Z direction normal to earth surface)
rest will be standard procedure as for other analysis.
Here is my question,
in step (3) i am applying a fix values of load (10N) which multiply (i assume) with value of time in defined table (step (1)). Hence load values will vary according to that values of time (step (1)). But if i have load at different time (ex. at t=0s -> F = 0N, t=1s -> F=2N, t = 2s -> F = 5N ...) but do not have that values i inserted in table of time (step (1)) then how can i apply this time varying load?

As you said, to apply a transient load in Patran you have to follow a number of steps:
1. You need to define a time function in "Fields".
2. The time function can be a formula or a tabulated one. In "Properties", "Fields", "Action:Create", "Object: Non Spatial", "Method:Tabular Input" you define the table with two columns: left one for the time, right one for the value that will multiply later your force.
3. In "Loads/BCs" you "Create Load Case" with the name for example "Transient". Do not forget making it current "Make Current". Select "Type: Time Dependent", in "Input Data...", you need to select the created load case.
4. After it, you need to change the "Solution Type" to "TRANSIENT ANALYSIS"
5. In "Subcases..." you select "Transient", "Subcase Parameters", "Initial Time Step=xx", where xx is your time step, and "Number of Time Steps=yy", where yy is how many time steps you want for your simulation (this is independent of the time your transient force is applied because the simulation can last longer than the transient force applied).
