I have a path model with one independent (IV) and four dependent variable (DV). They are having one mediating variable and one moderating variable in them. What is the ideal stats to apply for the following:
H1: There is a significant relationship between IV to DV.
H2: There is a significant relationship between IV to DV while mediating.
H3: There is a significant relationship between IV to DV while moderating.
H4: There is a significant relationship between IV to DV while mediating and moderating both.
Kindly provide what should be my approach to address each hypothesis having a sample of 400.

Dear colleague,
If your variables are observed (and not latent) and if you are using software such as SPSS or SAS, you can use the "process" macro of Andrew Hayes (see the ink).
There are 76 different models that can be tested using process (http://www.afhayes.com/public/templates.pdf). The only thing is that you can enter to these models only 1 dependent variable. If you don't mind to treat your dependent variables separately, I would suggest you to try this macro.
If your variables are latent and/or you want to treat all the dependent variables at the same time, you have to use structural equation modeling software (AMOS, MPLUS, Lavaan package of R). Of course, it's something more complicated and unfortunately, I am not able to explain here how to do it.

Thanks for your direction to address my hypothesis. Ms. Marina!! as you have stated to use the SPSS macro via. Hayes mediation and moderation I had earlier gone through it. However, I have 4 separate dependent variable which has been hypothesized to test individually with the sole independent variable and later the independent variable will be checked on the combined influence of the dependent variables too. I hope that time I can surely think of working out with Hayes effect if possible.
Mr. Dasapta!! actually I would like to give a diagrammatic expression to address my hypothesis and as you have suggested SCM proves to be the best means of working out. However, after getting your advise on mgcvR and Lavaan R (suggested by Marina) I am thinking to explore more reading in this area. Can you please drop me with all relevant details at [email protected]. Precisely I am looking for a step wise approach on how to deal with my each hypothesis.
