Hi, I was preparing the chitosan nanoparticles but I`m wondering how the pellet after the centrifugation should looks like? powder or thin film like? additionally, in which solution shall I suspend it after discarding the supernatant? and in which conditions can I store it?

Chitosan nanoparticles looks like a translucent flim like pellet and depending on what starting concentration of chitosan you are using the quantity and size of pellet will vary. After discarding the supernatant we usually redisperse chitosan nanoparticles in water (mill q grade)
As for storage you can very well store in room temperature but usually it is better to avoid long term storage (more than a month or 2)
use 0.5mg/ml chitosan and 0.16mg/ml of TPP tro yeild good pellet.

Agree with Vivek but it is true in case of CS-TPP nanoparticles....Questioner did not describe here either he has used TPP or not...Because with other negatively charged polymer like pectin, sodium alginate, CMC Na, Hyaluronic acid the pellets look different
