Outsourcing models can be in-house or 3rd party and since both models works on the principle of effective process management, they deliver huge amount of efficiency and speed to the processes.
This can be leveraged effectively by both private and public sector by utilizing an appropriate outsourcing model that suits the business requirements and it's sensitive nature in terms of its deliverables and IT security aspects.
I strongly believe that the only difference between outsourcing within public sector organizations and commercial companies are the following:
- public sector organizations have to be more responsible for the fired personal (however this does not work if a commercial company uses CSR philosophy)
- public sector organizations have to use more complicated procedure of the outsourcing company selecting (public tender, etc).
