If it requires more than 3/4 days under specific growth condition, then how much cells we need to culture in a 6/12 well plate?
We successfully culture clonal cell lines in flasks, large Petri dishes or multiwell plates (6/12/24, depending on the coverslip size in the plate). The time required after plating for the expression of receptors at the plasmalemma/intracellularly -a transmembrane protein in our case- depends on a multiplicity of factors, including state of cell cycle, presence or absence of serum for some cell lines, whether expression of the protein is under control of a strong promoter or not, antibiotics, etc.
