I have prepared silver nanoparticles by the use of aqueous extracts of medicinal plants. I have observed through SEM of green synthesized silver nanoparticles that it was between 100-111nm. The average particle size was around 85 nm. Is this okay? Thanks!!
Different size of Ag nanoparticles can be prepared by green route by controlling the reaction parameters. In your case it 85 nm. and this size is okay or not that depends on your application target. I think dilution of Ag nitrate in reaction mixture can yield you smaller paprticles.

Dear Qasim, Thanks for suggestions. I have prepared silver nanoparticles by green route. They are dispersed in water as being higher surface area, silver nanoparticles stick on surface of container and tried to dry silver nanoparticles for XRD analysis which needs dried form of silver nanoparticles. One thing that I would like to ask you as how to dry silver nanoparticles for XRD analysis. It is difficult to get dried form. Any suggestions?
Nano particles of size range 20-40 nm is also possible through biological synthesis. Try the reaction at higher pH, with slow addition of precursor salt. Yes getting the particles in the dried form is quite difficult, any how drying the NP suspension will lead to sticking of the NPs to the glass container wall. Scraping off the particles from the container is what I know and do till date. Thanks
