I have generated multiple realizations for porosity and permeability in R. After ranking them, 3 quantiles were selected (P10, P50, P90) and visualized in 2D contour maps.
I was just wondering if there is a way to digitize them in R or convert them to text files?
R has a vast number of packages available, so please give more information on how you created the contour maps and what will be the use of the digitized data. In R one can use different "devices" for graphical output, so the easiest option is in general to use a device that produces suitable output and save the output to a file.
If I understand correctly you have produced bitmaps of the contour maps, and would like to obtain an output for further processing. This is also in many cases possible, but once more you need to give more information before we can help.

I used Kriging algorithms for spatial rock properties.
the contour maps should be digitized based on the grid dimensions created prior to implement Kriging approach.
it is like exporting the data for further modeling.
