Hello everyone,

I am currently 26 years old (feeling like I am making a lot of mistakes at this young age), finishing my Master's degree, and planning to continue onto a PhD and possibly a PostDoc. I am very passionate about pursuing a career in research. Given the vast experience within this community, I would appreciate any advice on this journey.

  • What common pitfalls should I avoid in the early stages of a research career, from publications to presenting research ideas?
  • What practices should I adopt to lay a solid foundation for success in academia?
  • From your experience, what were some of your successes and failures, and what lessons did you learn from them?

Thank you for your time and insights. I look forward to learning from all of you!
