A Faculty Member of a university need to guide research/project students of final year. But sometimes there are so many students pressure come to a Faculty Member that it becomes very difficult to take all the students and guide them properly. On the other hand, students are reluctant to go to few of the Faculty Members due to various reasons. Is it justified to force the students to take research under those Faculty Members? In that case, how the other Faculty Members can solve this problem taking extra students?

It is really an important question. However, the answer will not be that easy because of many complicated factors. The students have all the right to choose the faculty member whom they will work under his supervision. Othe "unwanted" members should discuss reasons seriously and treat it without blaming their more " wanted" colleagues.
Faculty member is also a human being with limited time and effort to spend on too many students for supervision and following. Therefore, the maximum number of students must be determined by the specialists taking many aspects into consideration. Here in Iraq, faculty member is not allowed to supervise more than 6 undergraduate or 5 postgraduate students at one time but very few are reaching this limit according to the ratio between students and academic staff. My personal observation is that more students under supervision of one professor means poor quality of research outputs.
