In other words, what # of nucelotides does RNAPII span during transcription of a gene? (ie. 5 nucleotides? 25 nucleotides?)

~ 37-40 nucleotides - I have downloaded the 5OIK (RNAPII) EC structure (Nature Structural & Molecular Biology, 24, 809–815 (2017) doi:10.1038/nsmb.3465) and counted the No. of nucleotides inside.
