In Iraq sunshine time ranged between 10 hours in winter up to 14 hours in midsummer where sun rise about 5 o’clock and sun set about 7 past 15 .Solar energy use almost nil .
In Pakistan, the annual average sunshine is 8hr/day. Winter has the lowest sunshine with 6.1hr/day, and summer experiences the highest sunshine of above 9hr/day. But unfortunately it is not used as a major source of energy. Due to electricity crises, solar panels have been introduced in the market. Due to high prices, it is out of reach of poor people. With the passage of time some improvements are expected.
I agree with Dr. Nafees, solar power utilization is a matter of expense, for electricity, some trade-off between the expense of traditional electricity and solar panels shall be carried out, governmental support is a must, especially in initialization phases.
In my country Nigeria, sun mostly shine between 6:45 am to 6:45 pm. This indicates that that sun shine (day light) hours in my location (Ogun state) in Nigeria is between 11 to 12 hours but the peak sun shine estimated using solar panel for the location was 6.4 hours per day.
