I have been training myself in cardiomyocyte isolation and patch clamp operation for almost two months. Our lab doesn't work in electrophysiology, so I learned from different labs. Completing both cardiomyocyte isolation and patch clamp practice takes more than 9 hours normally. I am very close to success but it is still bumpy as I always have one or two issues either in cell isolation or patch clamp practice. I am curious how long you guys spend before stable success.

A lifetime! Sealing can be taught within a few hours, but doing electrophys correctly takes a long time. Today's 'off the shelf' approach means most modern publications have incorrect recordings in them!
