How likely is it to wash off the target sample during the washing step of immunocapture PCR?

I have been doing immunocapture PCR but when I take a look at the gels they don't have PCR products. My controls indicate that the PCR worked so I was considering that maybe my sample is being washed off since I don't have a lot of experience with immunocapture.

What exactly are you doing? A bead capture? plate capture ? what is your antigenic label - DIG? Difficult to advise from the information provided. Did your control bind or was it just the PCR that worked?
