Personally, I go with a few methods,

1. Reading and following the research work of the leading researchers in the field. This way I get an idea about what good journals in my field are.

2. Searching for the journal's ISSN in Web of Science Master Journal list and from there, I get where the journal is indexed. Also, on the Web of Science Master Journal list, one can search for the key words like, 'Pest Management', 'Biocontrol' etc in your case. Prefer SCIE indexed journals, the ones which are indexed in Web of Science Core Collection.

3. Searching for the journal in Scopus Sources. You can use the key word strategy there too and you must prefer journals with a higher cite score.

4. Checking for the impact factor of the journal.
